SPRING CLEANING DINNER
FRIDAY MAY 20th 7PM – Every day is Earth Day and to celebrate we’ll gather our food from the Earth and have a foraged dinner. Also attending our little soirée will be Adam Haritan, author of Learn Your Land, an excellent Facebook page dedicated to foraged foods and the wealth of health they offer!

As April closes we turn to brighter, warmer days. Time to clear out those stale, lathargic feelings from winter with some fresh salads and foraged greens! We’ll start our meal with a Morel Mushroom Bisque, follow that up with a Fresh Foraged Greens salad and finish with a Homemade Nettle Pasta with a nettle, potato and mascarpone filling. (A great recipe found on the Hunter, Angler, Gardener, Cook website) Simple, clean and fresh from mother earth! I’m still working on the dessert as the chili weather has put a crinkle in my plans…. argh!
Fasting is a powerful cleansing experience but can be a real challenge for many of us. The good news is, your body is a cleansing machine. Its what it does 24/7! Feed yourself with powerful antioxidants and you will clean your blood and vital organs while enjoying nutrient dense and delicious meals all through the springtime. Once again lets sit down together and have a wonderful 4 course meal while talking and sharing stories related to health and wellness! ! Class includes recipes, focused discussion on the topic of the month, a three course meal, fresh bread and filtered water. (and usually a dessert)
The Healthy Eating Cooking classes will use as much local produce as is available and represent the best of the season.
