Effort and Ease Experience the Profound Effect of Balancing Effort and Ease in Every Asana with Mark Staley (ERYT200)
In every practice there is effort but too much effort and you snap. There is also always ease, but too much ease and you’re a wet noodle. It takes strength and flexibility to experience an effective practice. We’ll explore reciprocal inhibition, co-activation and facilitated stretches.

Beginner Yoga Class – Establish a strong foundation for your yoga practice – In this 75 minute class you will learn or rediscover everything you need to know to have a safe and powerful asana practice. We’ll start with the basics and work toward a power flow sequence that will build strength and endurance. There will be time to ask questions about the poses, discover safe alignment that fits your body and develop your awareness of how your body moves. We’ll review modifications of asana, props, musculature and alignment and prepare you to practice asana at home or in the studio with strength, focus and ease. All are welcome from 14 to114, whether its your first time in a yoga studio or you’ve been practicing for a lifetime the wise practitioner returns to a beginners mind to truly become a master.

5 Rhythms in Asana Experience a Dynamic Movement Process that Ignites Creativity and Connection to the Asana Practice. with Mark Staley (ERYT200) Gabriela Roth discovered the 5 Rhythms through a distillation of sacred movement. This movement modality has become a profound experience for practitioners as it brings unending exploration and allows the practitioner to move beyond preconceived notions of self. In this workshop we’ll explore the fundamental rhythms and bring them into the yoga practice as a guiding rhythm to elevate and expand your practice and ground your experience leading a class. 5 Point Yoga Challenge – Discover the Complete Yoga Experience – The holistic approach to the practice of yoga is deeper and more profound than simply an asana practice. It takes focus and determination both at home, work and in the studio. In this 5 session workshop we’ll discover and practice the 5 Points of Yoga – Proper Breathing, Proper Exercise, Proper Relaxation, Proper Diet, Positive Thinking/Meditation. In our first session we will establish the foundation for Pranayama, Asana, Shivasana, a Plant Strong Diet and developing a Positive Outlook and a 5 minute meditation practice. This will set you on the path for your challlenge. Each week we will go deeper into all 5 points and develop a systematic, step-by-step approach to holistic health that will bring tremendous peace of mind, strength of body & spirit and well being.
