Primarily a yoga practice the Foundations to Movement practice brings specific attention to the foundations that support each action. The class uses several different movement philosophies and disciplines to build a deep awareness of the basic elements of movement. Each session is tailored to the needs of the group and may incorporate elements of Tai Chi, Alexander Technique and the Feldenkrais Approach. The practice will flow fairly fluidly yet deliberately as we develop our awareness of the basic functions of our body in motion; strengthening muscles, articulating movements and discovering our abilities.
No two classes are alike, yet the foundation is consistent.
